What defines your trip to Greece when looking through your camera roll? Is it the countless pictures of the sunsets and beach? Or maybe it is the photos of funny encounters you had with the wild animals like goats, that roam the countryside freely. Of course, everyone must take photos of those two categories, as they are truly what defines Greece, and literally everyone has them (even the locals have taken these kinds of photos). Yet, one of Greece’s most infamous places to take photo shoots at will leave your friends in awe, and will explode your instagram likes immediately. The list will be compromised of locations, some general and some specific places for you to go take a photo shoot at. Below I highlighted a few places of note for you to take a photo opportunity at while in Greece.
Piraeus. Although known to many as the Port, or port district of Athens, Piraeus is a great place to take photos because of its mix being that it is an industrial place, with beautiful water and nature around it. Try going to any of the walls in that section of Athens and taking a photo next to some of the interesting graffiti. Some of the graffiti art is very creative, and not mindless. Besides sophisticated graffiti, there are a few parks near the water and old fishermens boats that are worth a photo opportunity also. Add this location to your resume of places that you took photos in Greece.
Any church on an island that you visit. One of the most well known things about Greece is that they are home to church’s made from a white stone material and have blue rooftops, making them a highly attractive and desirable place to take a photo at. Of course, be respectful when on site, but they are worth the photo op, especially in the summer. These church’s are best for taking photos at on the Island of Santorini, as I am sure some of you have seen photos from there before.
Athos, or Mount Athos in General. A Monastery that is one of the best lesser known places to visit in Greece, Athos is a really great place to take photos at. Overlooking the water, and built into the side of a hill/mountain, Athos will for sure have people asking where you took that photo. With a Rich history, Athos can be a good place to learn more about the Greek Monestary too, and houses a museum as well for you to visit.

While there are many other locations worth putting on this list, these three stand out the most and are quite accessable. Put them on your bucket list when in Greece. Be sure to check out my other articles on the blog, thank you for reading!
