Although it is almost the end of the month, August is when everyone takes off. That being said now is the perfect time to go to the beach and relax, all doing so while in style. Below I have compromised a list of the best, must have swim trunks for the Summer 2021 season. These pieces will be unfashionable and can be worn for the following seasons as well, so keep them in your wardrobe!
- Balmain – Navy Blue Swimsuit with Balmain logo print and white stripes. $565 USD
These Swim Trunks are perfect for younger men, or older men with a leaner figure. The swim trunks come only in mid length, showing off your lean body and toned figure. They aren’t too tight, but also not too baggy, creating a perfect fit and complementing your figure. Adding blue and white to the color way allows a casual, yet sophisticated summer look. Having a simple pattern of stripes does not call too much negative attention, and is stylish. It can be worn with linen shirts, t-shirts, jerseys, or just about anything. Although it is on the pricier side, the quality and design are well worth the price. I personally own 2 Balmain swim trunks (one mentioned below) and I can attest to their high quality material, and perfect fit. This item can be bought on the Balmain website, Saks fifth ave, and Mr. Porter (last time I checked).
2. Balmain – Black swimsuit with Balmain logo print. $370 USD.
A more affordable choice and a more basic color way, this swim suit will give you the attention you desire, and can be paired with many different tops. Again, you can pair anything with black and white and the logo isn’t too distracting, so you can wear other logos or pieces to compliment your outfit. I own this swim suit, I love it. Price wise it is just right, not too cheap that it isn’t special and will fall apart, but not too expensive that it will cause you to think again. Just like the swim suit above, a tighter fit (which I personally like) and comes in mid length. Can’t go wrong with this choice as it is basic, but offers a luxury brand name and logo design on the side to top off your look. Again, this can be purchased on a variety of websites, the main one being the Balmain website and Saks fifth ave.
3. Moschino – Holographic Logo Beach Boxer – $140 USD
If these don’t already have your attention I do not know what else will. In all seriousness, I have three of this exact same swimsuit, one in orange and black, black and silver (pictured), and black and white. Although my favorite of the three is the black body with orange lettering, unfortunately discontinued after last season, I am in love with these swim shorts. They are slightly on the shorter length, but the leg openings are more open so they don’t look as short and tight. The colors jump out to me the most, especially when its in silver or orange. I get so many good looks for wearing these, people love complimenting me on them and asking what they are. The best part is they are not going to drain your bank account so you can load up on a few pairs of these and still be fine. Go grab a pair of these on Moschino under the swimwear section or on a third party website like Farfetch for under 150 USD.
4. Gucci nylon swim shorts with logo stripe – $600 USD
Lastly I am going to leave you all with a choice that is perhaps a better fit than the ones listed above. These swim trunks are fall all body types, but can be worn for larger and less slim figures too. It offers wider legs, mid-long length, and a more recognized luxury brand, Gucci. I do not have any experience with these, neither have I owned a pair or even seen a pair in. real life, I just know that they’re the next big product in the Gucci swim wear line for the Summer of 2021. I know Gucci as a t-shirt, sunglasses, sneakers, etc.. very well, but I would advise their swim wear would most likely reflect my positive experiences with their other products mentioned.
While this may not be the longest list available, it has the best information regarding what you should be wearing (or already own) to best close out your Summer of 2021. Owning luxury swimwear is a must for anyones wardrobe, including mens, so I created this list to guide you in the right direction. Have a great trip!
